Job Description

Position Overview:

Provides leadership for the overall new business development, marketing, and proposal activities throughout the corporation. Ensures the identification, qualification, and acquisition of new business that is consistent with the strategic direction of the company.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Build a first class sales and marketing organization capable of meeting short-term and long-term corporate objectives.

Primary responsibility for planning, developing, and implementing the company’s strategies and activities for new business development, including management of the functional marketing and proposal groups. Provides leadership in the pursuit, identification and capture of new business and the identification of emerging markets and technologies.

Develops long-range new business and marketing plans for the corporation including market assessment, opportunity, and major market identification, qualification, and capture in conjunction with each business unit.

Ensures that all opportunities are identified early in the procurement cycle and are consistent with PSI’s long-term strategic plan, and that appropriate business capture procedures are followed for each opportunity.

Provides leadership in developing goals and implementation plans and activities to pursue agencies in which PSI wants to be known as a major supplier.

Provides management guidance in developing and maintaining long-term relationships with both current and potential clients, seeking opportunities for additional contracts as appropriate.

Solicits, evaluates and recommends teaming partners, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers offering the highest win probability to PSI.

Ensures that staff are assigned specific marketing areas and that a pipeline of opportunities is developed for each area to meet or exceed the annual revenue growth targets.

Ensures that an appropriate Opportunity Manager is assigned to manage each opportunity through the proposal process to award, including developing overall strategy and win themes, determining the winning technical approach and obtaining the requisite resources to write the proposal

Ensures that all PSI’s proposals follow PSI standards and procedures to complete a compliant, effective proposal on schedule.

Provides leadership for staff performance by ensuring proper communication of policies and procedures, purposes and goals of PSI.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
