Institution:

Keimyung Adams College (KAC) is Keimyung University’s international honors college.  KAC offers its courses in English to an elite student body drawn from the Republic of Korea and abroad. KAC offers degrees in International Business and International Relations. KAC is seeking new faculty members.

Location: Daegu, South Korea

Salary:

Competitive compensation (commensurate to rank, experience and qualifications), plus housing.

Required Qualifications:

Masters or P.h.D in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or Language Education required

Prior Experience:

2 years post-Master’s university-level experience teaching communication skills and academic writing.

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate for this position will primarily be responsible for teaching 12 hours per week. The position also requires evaluation of students and limited administrative tasks. Primary courses to be taught, at levels from intermediate to advanced (native and native-like level):

  • Communication Skills (e.g. presentation/public speaking, discussion, debate, interview skills)
  • Academic Writing (essay composition, research skills, APA format, academic style)
  • Semesters run 16 weeks (March – June, September – December)
